Who we are

The Gastown Law Collective is a group of independent lawyers and small law firms that share an address. We are not a law firm. Some members of the Collective work in the same office, here on Water Street, and others work elsewhere in Gastown or even remotely. The Collective is a way for us all to come together to give you, the client, more access to more legal professionals, so you have a better chance at finding the right lawyer to help with your unique legal issues.

Syer Law provides mediation and ADR services to clients in a range of civil litigation and administrative law matters. They can help you with mediations involving employment law, estate disputes, construction litigation, business disputes, housing law (landlord/tenant and strata), human rights issues, and other legal issues.

Gastown Mediation Logo

Gastown Mediation provides mediation and facilitation services to people having any kind of civil dispute. They provide mediation services whether or not there is a court case going on, and whether or not the parties have a lawyer. They also provide conflict communication training and workshops. They want to help you resolve your conflicts on your own terms.

Our services include assisting clients on a variety of family law issues, such as parenting arrangements, child support and spousal support, and division of family property and family debt. We also recognize the importance of negotiating fair settlements, determining matters with efficiency, and choosing an amicable approach, including family dispute resolution processes, where advisable.
